The mission of Paranoid Parents is to to stop parents from worrying about the wrong things, to find fixes for real dangers, and to give parents more time and energy to have fun with their children.

Simply put, Paranoid Parents wants to help parents get their worries into perspective and find practical and positive strategies the real worries.

A Personal Note From Child Health and Safety Expert Christie Barnes:

With a name like Paranoid Parents, it might be assumed that we are trying to scare parents. As a mom of four, turned child expert, I created a company that would do exactly the reverse. We are committed to stop parents from worrying so much.

A widow with four small children, I started a kids’ company trying to change misleading advertising to parents. I started in my own community and now I am taking on the entire U.S.

I intend to stop parents from worrying about the wrong things, find fixes for real dangers, and give parents more time and energy to have fun with their children in these ways:

  • Work with an expert board comprised of state and national health & education experts and World Health Organization consultants to get great governmental information in front of parents in a way that is direct and parent-friendly.
  • Find and publish statistical research on real dangers vs perceived worries for current child health and safety issues. (The recently published Paranoid Parents Guide Book is focused on the latest research on the common child health and safety issues that worry most parents.)
  • Create and conduct rigorous product testing for children’s food and toy products.
